Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band - 07 September 2007

40 years ago a great work of art was created that has become as famous and as iconic as the Mona Lisa. The work was created by Sir Peter Blake, one of Britain’s best loved artists and the man known as ‘The Grandfather of British Pop Art’.

The work in question is of course the cover art for The Beatles ‘Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band’. To celebrate this anniversary Sir Peter has finally agreed to make this available for art lovers and not just for owners of the record.

He has created a wonderful limited edition print of the work, printed by the famous Coriander Studios in London as a 24 colour silkscreen on 410gsm Somerset archival paper. Only 500 people in the world will own one of these prints and there can never be a repeat.

Hypergallery is delighted to have Sgt Pepper hanging on our wall.
