Storm Thorgerson's 2020 Series - 21 May 2008

More work from the great man!

Storm Thorgerson has created the 2020 Series with the discerning collector in mind. Twenty subjects, with editions of only twenty of each print, these will be highly desirable and valuable artworks to collect. He has also designed a bespoke case to house the prints, which will be provided to anyone who invests in five or more prints.

Due to the rarity of these prints, the publisher has formulated a cost escalation scale as each print from an edition is sold, so the sooner the purchase is made the better the price will be.

With work for Alan Parsons, Catherine Wheel, The Cranberries, Deepest Blue, Muse, Offspring, Phish, Pink Floyd, Program the Dead, Rick Wright, The Mars Volta, Thornley, Wishbone Ash, Yumi Matsutoya and OAR, this is a wonderful collection and the Hypergallery is very happy to be showing it.

We are showing them in our Private View Gallery for a few weeks, before moving them to Storm's permanent gallery 'Perfect Storm'.

Genesis - The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway - 12 May 2008

In 1974 Genesis released their double concept album ‘The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway’ and design group Hipgnosis, already renowned for their work with Pink Floyd, were commissioned to create the artwork for the cover. This was the last Genesis album with Peter Gabriel as their front man, but the start of Gabriel’s relationship with Hipgnosis who went on to create the memorable covers for his first three solo albums.

Thirty four years later and this thought provoking artwork has been published as a limited edition print, hand-signed by Storm Thorgerson and exclusively available on-line today in the Hypergallery.

One collector who bought this print from us has said “I think it is close to being his most interpretive work, almost haunting and the black and white just adds to that feeling”
