Cancer Research at Abbey Road - 25 March 2009

Hypergallery were at Abbey Road recently for the Cancer Research ‘Sound and Vision’ event. This is an annual bash that offers the opportunity to bid for some amazing pieces of photography and artwork from the music world.

A live performance from Paul Weller was the cream on the cake. Bidding for the items was brisk and an amazing £200,000+ was raised for the charity. Among the creative luminaries seen were Sir Peter Blake and Michael Spencer Jones. Interestingly they had never met; though both have created covers for Oasis and we were very pleased to facilitate an introduction.

One item under the hammer was the new limited edition print of Peter Gabriel's 'Passion' album cover. This went for £3,250 which is a good indicator of how popular this will be when it goes on general sale. Hypergallery will have this on the wall very soon.
