Robert Crumb and Gilbert Shelton are two of the best known comic book artists of 1970's San Francisco, Peter Corriston is a contemporary artist working in New York and Jim Flora is one of the earliest designers of record cover art, working in the 1940s and 1950s and creating some very distinctive designs.
