work to scale against six foot person
This photograph taken for the cover of a Nigel Kennedy album of Fritz Kreisler music was not used in the end (he went for a b&w self-portrait and called the album Kreisler) but we think that is rather a shame..
Shot by Tony May on Camber Sands on the south coast of England, late in the afternoon with perfect winter sun, this photo really would have been a stunning cover- never mind, we have it here now for your appreciation.
Storm gave Hypergallery some of his thoughts on this image:
"I designed the cover around the twin muses in Kreisler's life - playing and composing - and pictured them as female shapes, or silhouettes (in deference to the two major women in his life). They were connected to the one source, Kreisler himself, by means of strings - strings of the violin of course but also strings of attachment."
