This exclusive limited edition set of five archival inkjet prints by Storm Thorgerson are presented in an archival portfolio with an explanatory cover sheet designed by Storm himself. In 2000 Storm created a series of limited edition prints of twelve of the most iconic Floyd images including The Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here and Animals. The company set up to publish these editions was to be called Rockoptic, and Storm designed a brand for them. His idea was simple genius: an eye in an ear. The images were printed as business cards in two versions – one facing left and one facing right. When put side by side these two cards created a weird surreal creature that brought a smile to Storm’s face. In 2010 the four images were published as fine art prints on acid free Woodstock Felt paper in limited editions of 25 and in addition one was selected to be doubled up to create the creature. These prints are uniquely Storm and are of a smaller, more domestic scale than most of his prints. He was very fond of these images, and you can see one of them on display in his studio in the Tate video interview with him, at the time of the Magritte blockbuster exhibition. As a set of prints with a folder these prints will not be shipped in a cardboard tube but will be carefully parcelled up and shipped as one item.
