Chip Off The Old block, or Big Chip, is an archival inkjet edition printed by the renowned Coriander Studios in London, UK. Of the design, Storm said he had "been long enamoured of the idea of a big black cube plonked in the middle of nowhere in particular." This recurring motif made an appearance here in an installation created for the front cover of Pink Floyd's 2008 singles calendar. Storm's son appears in the image, hence its Chip Off The Old Block title and the block here represents vinyl singles, as you can see in the grooves. A pretty powerful image, recalling that early Hipgnosis design for Led Zeppelin's Presence.
