Limited edition of 100
This large and striking silkscreen print revisits the artwork created for the Madchester Rave On E.P. released by the Happy Mondays in November 1989 by Factory Records. It is regarded as one of the iconic key releases from the Madchester music scene. Madchester was taken up as the phrase to encompass the whole music scene that developed in Manchester, UK, in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Other musicians associated with the scene included New Order, The Stone Roses, Inspiral Carpets, Northside, 808 State, James, The Charlatans, The Fall, A Guy Called Gerald and others. At that time, the Haçienda nightclub was a major catalyst for the distinctive musical ethos in the city that was called the Second Summer of Love. Available in six different colour ways (six different editions) these prints are a true technicolour celebration of that era by the artists who were so very much a part of it. Each print, on Stonehenge cotton archival rag paper by Rising, is signed in pencil by Central Station Design.
