Limited edition of 100
This limited edition album cover art print features a Storm Thorgerson image created for Toronto hard rock band Thornley. The Tiny Pictures album artwork is a typical Storm Thorgerson creation. Affectionately known as Mr Suitcase Head, this epic figure was assembled and photographed in a building at the Chatham Naval Yards. 200 old suitcases were crafted into the shape of a giant head full of metaphor and innuendo, or indeed baggage. But why? Who knows except Storm and here’s what he had to say about it: “So, is it a travel weary image for a much travelled rock'n'roller Ian Thornley? Is it a suitable case for treatment? A nut case? Or indeed a head case? Or is it about luggage? - one takes ones luggage/baggage with one as one travels though life, ain't dat de troot. Maybe it's a left luggage repository at the back of Heathrow's notorious Terminal 5, and the cases have temporarily arranged themselves to communicate with the visitor. 'Sorry madam your case is not here'." The star of the show is of course the dog Chester (RIP), once known in his local park as Chester the Molester. Printed in silkscreen with a glaze on a weighty Somerset tub paper, this print has proven to be very popular with Storm’s collectors.
