Be Here Now print set

Be Here Now print set

About Be Here Now print set

This archival inkjet print celebrates the 20th Anniversary of Oasis' third album, Be Here Now. It is the third publication in the trilogy of album cover art prints, produced and published by Oasis photographer Michael Spencer Jones. This publication follows the popularity of his Definitely Maybe and (What's The Story) Morning Glory?  prints. The first 50 Front Cover prints come with a highly collectible complimentary print of the infamous calendar promo image. ONLY THE FIRST 50 FRONT COVER PRINTS PRODUCED BY THE ARTIST WILL BE SOLD AS A PAIR, A SMALL NUMBER OF WHICH WE ARE ABLE TO OFFER HERE. The price of this set is for both prints. What a wonderful way to celebrate this Anniversary! Be Here Now was released on August 21st in 1997 and became the fastest-selling album in British chart history. The album cover was shot a few months before release, at Stocks House in Hertfordshire. Photographer Michael Spencer Jones recalls that "by 8pm, everyone was in the bar; there were schoolkids all over the set, and the lighting crew couldn't start the generator. It was Alice in Wonderland meets Apocalypse Now." The inflatable globe pays homage to the sleeve of Definitely Maybe, and the Rolls Royce is classic rock'n'roll imagery, suggested by Paul "Bonehead" Arthurs. The release date in each region was commemorated on the calendar pictured on the sleeve, to encourage fans to buy a copy on that day, and mark the release as a kind of historical event. Printed on Hahnemühle paper, every front cover print comes with its own Hahnemühle Certificate of Authenticity and is embossed with artist's mark.
