LATEST RELEASE
This archival inkjet print celebrates the 20th Anniversary of The Verve's beautiful and epic third album, Urban Hymns. It follows the popularity of his Be Here Now, Definitely Maybe and (What's The Story) Morning Glory? trilogy of prints. The cover shot was taken on a 35mm Contax with a Carl Zeiss 15mm corrected fisheye lens in Richmond Park, London. Michael was one of two photographers hired for the day and this image shows the band waiting while his fellow British photographer, Chris Floyd, was setting up for the main shoot. As with so much great art and photography, the best image was the one that came from a happy accident, with The Verve portrayed in a natural pose, relaxed and at one. The band liked it too, and it was they who chose the photograph to grace the cover of their most important album, which was released on September 29th 1997. This edition of prints is a perfect way to celebrate that moment in musical history. Printed on Hahnemühle paper, every print comes with its own Hahnemühle Certificate of Authenticity and is embossed with artist's mark.
